This is the third film in the Tinto Brass DVD collection, and it's the least impressive of the bunch. By this point, Brass had a clearly defined cinematic language: Abundant nudity, cheeky humor, and an obsession with women's asses. In this film, our protagonist is a vivacious gal devoted to her husband, yet yearning to wander onto other proverbial pastures. She flirts with a distant cousin (ick) at a funeral (erm, OK), before finally taking the plunge (and we do mean plunge) with a creepy artist who's got a Tinto-worthy fascination with the female derriere. Hilarity ensues.
Claudia Koll is cute in the lead role, even if she is the worst actress Brass has probably ever cast. She's game for all the sexual hijinks here, which are pretty crass and unerotic by Brass' usual standards. The camera angles are close, explicit and intrusive — it's hard to argue that there's any highbrow intent. It's a dirty movie with a European attitude that stops just this side of porn. (Well, except for that one shot in the orgy scene. But no matter.) Diverting, but not that memorable.

The film is also aesthetical with the beautiful environment, the heat between the characters, and the camera light on Anna Ammiratis irresistible body.

The iconic image for the film shows a "cannibal" girl impaled on a stick. Upon being summoned to court in order to assert that no actors were harmed during production, Deodato explained that the girl simply sat on a bicycle seat attached to the pole's base, while holding a small pointed balsa wood piece in her mouth. The fake blood was then added. Deodato commented that the girl had an unusually calm temperament to be able to remain so still during the filming.
Goofs:
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The "muskrat" Miguel kills in the film is not a muskrat at all. It's a coatimundi, a type of animal closely related to the raccoons.

Set in a Nazi "Love Camp" that services the needs of front line officers. The video packaging claims that this film is based on fact, but the plot is so far fetched you would have a hard time believing that. Two young WAC officers go undercover as POW's in the prison camp hoping to get some information from a scientist that's being held there, before being sprung out by the French resistance. Unfortunately things go wrong with the break out and they end up overstaying their welcome and being subjected to the same indignities as the other inmates.
The film was one of the original 74 video nasties in the UK and consequently banned. When the film was eventually submitted to the BBFC in 2002 it was refused a certificate with the statement as follows - 'The BBFC has refused a classification to the video of LOVE CAMP 7. LOVE CAMP 7 is an exploitation film set in a Nazi 'love camp' during the second World War. The film contains numerous scenes of women prisoners being abused, tortured and humiliated by their Nazi captors. Indeed the whole purpose of the work is to invite male viewers to relish the spectacle of naked women being humiliated for their titillation. LOVE CAMP 7 contains both eroticised depictions of sexual violence and repeated association of sex with restraint, pain, and humiliation. These sequences were in clear contravention of the Board's strict policy on depictions of sexual violence, which prohibits scenes that eroticise or endorse sexual assault. The possibility of cuts was considered. However, because the sexual violence runs throughout the work cutting was not considered to be a viable option'.

It is revealed that the man is getting married and the woman he's with is his wife's best friend. As we progress further along, we realize that this probably won't be a problem. The man is led to Marie-Christine's (his bride-to-be) house with his mistress. Here they look over a photo album/diary of Marie-Christine's sexual exploits. This makes up the body of the story as we see Brigitte involved in four different scenes. The two stand out scene both involve Marie- Christine and her maid (Jenny Feeling) going to town on two very different guys in her bedroom. This isn't to say the other two scenes aren't worth a look, they are as sure as I'm a dirty, dirty man.
The movie concludes with a nine person wedding/orgy the likes of which can hardly be explained with the limitations of the English language! I can't stress enough that this is a show stopping scene to top all show stopping scenes! The splendors of this scene are as indescribably as any monster hiding in a cave in an HP Lovecraft story. It's possible that my rambling here will elevate the expectations of this scene to unattainable heights for anyone who hasn't scene the movie yet, but I'm afraid that's just a risk I'm willing to take.
